619 17th St. Humboldt (306) 682-0705 (306) 682-4485

It was a full house on October 24th, as newcomers to the community came to learn safety tips for a Saskatchewan winter! Those in attendance were educated on what you need in your winter survival kit for your car, how to stay safe at home in the winter, especially during a possible power outage, how to dress warmly for the winter, how to treat hypothermia or frost bite and so much more. Many thanks to our presenters from SGI, Humboldt & District Ambulance – EMS and Humboldt Protective Services.

Thank you to The Humboldt Regional Newcomers Centre for again assisting with our annual winter gear and clothing drive, and to everyone who donated items to ensure no one is left out in the cold this winter.

Special thank you to SaskEnergy for sponsoring our event and donating the buttery soft blanket, to SGI for the wonderful swag bags with winter safety items and to Canadian National Railway for the high-vis lanyards.
