Farm Safety and Home Safety are a priority for Safe Communities Humboldt and Area. Injuries and deaths on farms and ranches happened each day. This is due to many factors including the fact that farms and ranches are not only where people work but also where families live and children play. All too often, we forget the many dangers that are around the family farm or ranch. There are many causes of injuries and deaths such as drownings, poisonings, falls, and play on or near impliments.
To help meet our mission, each year, in conjunction with PotashCorp Lanigan, we bring a home and farm safety day to area schools. This program is called the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day.
