In October 2021 we partnered with the Humboldt Regional Newcomers Centre and Carlton Trail College to bring our 10th annual clinics to 32 new area citizens with sessions held in person in the community of Humboldt and virtually in the Province during a Carlton Trail College English Second Language class. Our panelists from Humboldt & District Ambulance Service, the Humboldt and LeRoy Fire Departments, PARTNERS Family Services and SGI discussed topics such as hypothermia, proper dress and attire, heating your home safely, carbon monoxide dangers, pedestrian and driver safety and child safety. The annual winter gear and clothing drive was able to be conducted with donations directed to the Humboldt Regional Newcomers Centre to ensure safety protocols regarding donations were followed.
