In September and October 2020 we partnered with the Humboldt Regional Newcomers Centre and Carlton Trail College to bring our 9th annual clinics to 21 new area citizens with sessions held in Humboldt and LeRoy. Our panelists from Humboldt & District Ambulance Service, Lanigan Ambulance Association, the Humboldt and LeRoy Fire Departments, PARTNERS Family Services and SGI discussed topics such as hypothermia, proper dress and attire, heating your home safely, carbon monoxide dangers, pedestrian and driver safety and child safety. The annual winter gear and clothing drive was unable to be conducted due to the pandemic safety protocols and restrictions.
